Cookie and local storage notice

Last updated: 27 August 2026

This notice explains what Shopping Angel stores in your web browser, why it is needed, and how long it remains there. It covers the web application only, not a mobile app.

No advertising, profiling, or analytics cookies

Shopping Angel does not install technologies to measure audiences, build profiles, or serve advertising. It uses only technical storage needed to keep the service secure and the preferences you ask it to remember. Because there is no optional tracking to accept, the site does not show a consent banner.

These are the first-party cookies and browser-storage entries used by the current web application. A first-party cookie belongs to the Shopping Angel web address you are visiting.

The session and provider-binding cookies are HttpOnly, use SameSite=Lax, and use Secure in production. JavaScript cannot read the HttpOnly values. Preference cookies contain only the preference shown above.

When another service is opened

Shopping Angel does not embed advertising or social-media trackers. Some features contact another service only when you use them.

OpenStreetMap and external map links

Opening the interactive map downloads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so OpenStreetMap receives normal request data such as your IP address and browser headers. Following a Google Maps or other external link takes you to that service, whose own policy then applies.

Your controls

You remain in control of data stored by your browser.

You can delete Shopping Angel cookies and local storage in your browser's site-data settings. Deleting preference storage resets the related setting to its default.

Blocking the session cookie prevents sign-in from working. Blocking preference cookies may reset the language or search radius between visits; blocking local storage prevents the theme choice from being remembered.

There is no separate cookie-preference panel because the site currently has no optional analytics, advertising, or profiling storage to enable or disable.

Changes to this notice

This register should be updated whenever the web application adds, removes, or changes browser storage. If Shopping Angel later introduces non-technical tracking, it must remain disabled until the required choice has been offered.
